Between Shades of Gray by Ruta SepetysWhat did I like best about this book?
The thing that I liked the most about this book was the plot. I liked how the book showed the sacrifices that families were forced to make during the wars. Also, it showed how people change based on what they're going through and the book shows what really goes on in peoples heads and how desperation can completely change you. Summary: Between Shades Of Gray is the story of Lina, a teenage girl in the 1940's. One day the Soviet Army comes in to take Lina's family and send them to Siberia. Lina is pushed from a good life and separated from her family into herded trains where she meets multiple people who she has to fight with to get what she needs. Lina has to go through this journey, keeping her family together, and keeping her humanity in check as she struggles to survive .
